Beau Maison is a family holiday cottage situated in the small hamlet of Couroussaine in the village of Guilliers.
It’s quiet countryside location makes it an ideal retreat for families and friends and it’s ideally situated in the heart of Brittany to explore the surrounding areas & coast. There is lots of beautiful countryside on its doorstep to explore on foot or by bicycle, surrounded by woodlands and farmland.
The village of Guilliers has all the essentials you’d expect to find in a typical Breton village, a boulangerie, boucherie, pharmacy, post office & church. There is also a mini supermarket for all your essentials including fuel.
The town of Ploermel is just a 10 minute drive away. Here you’ll find larger supermarkets, a golf course, cinema, bowling and it’s Friday market. The town is probably most famous for its lake, ‘lac au duc’. A popular place for all seasons. It has a lakeside beach, pedalos and various watersports on offer including sailing and kayaking and a walking trail around the lake.
The medieval town of Josselin is just 20 minutes away. The Chateau Rohan sits on the banks of the Nantes/Brest Canal and the beautiful timber-framed medieval houses & church is well worth a visit. The Saturday morning market is a bustling must see.
The area has plenty to keep young children entertained. With farms, zoos, museums and adventure parks all within easy reach of Beau Maison.
You can reach the beautiful beaches along the Gulf of Morbihan in less than an hour.
